So, where is Dutch Corner?

Dutch Corner is in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and is mostly contained in Bedford township. On the north and east, it is naturally cornered by the mountains, while the west and south, it is harder to define. Some of the unincorporated areas in Dutch Corner are: Oppenheimer, Imlertown, Cessna, Belden, Yount, Chalybeate, Pleasant Valley and Dibert.  The below map shows mostly what is considered Dutch Corner, though some slightly outside of these borders have considered themselves to live in Dutch Corner.

Maps as early as 1816 have shown Dutch Corner on them, as seen by the Melish-Whiteside Map for Bedford County, which is located at the Pennsylvania Archives, and can also be found here as a .pdf file, or by going to this link and choosing the Bedford County Map.
